Afghani Girl
By: Jim Patrick
This is a young Afghani Girl that used to sit at the front gate of Bagram all day long while her Grandfather, her only living relative, worked to support them. When he left the base, he would pick her up. When I asked an interpretor to question why he did so- he said because her mother and father were killed by a land mine and that he felt that the gate guards would protect her while he was working all day.

The Playhouse
By: Pat Trudell
This is the playhouse that George C. Boldt built for his children. This was just one of many buildings on this island. This is the ultimate token of love. The mansion had over 200 rooms ... all of the work was stopped when his wife died suddenly.
This is a tourist attraction. Proceeds to go the restoration of this estate after decades of vandalism.
